Alan Baxter

Alan Edwin Baxter (1908-1976) was an American actor known for his work in film and television. Born in East Cleveland, Ohio, he pursued his education at Williams College and later studied at Yale University’s 47 Drama Workshop. Baxter’s career encompassed both stage and screen, with notable appearances on Broadway in productions like “The Hallams” and “Home of the Brave.” During World War II, he served in the United States Army Air Corps. Baxter was married to actress Barbara Williams until her passing in 1953, and later to Christy Palmer until his death in 1976. His contributions to the entertainment industry left a lasting impact on audiences and colleagues alike.
